Better
Bad news first…I still haven’t got a job. (Surprise!!!)
Good news – I have achieved the huge pot of ratatouille, and only a day later than planned.
Great obstacles were overcome (mould, lack of garlic, blunt knives, my own incompetence), but the result is YUM.
I also feel better, because I chopped to my heart’s content. And I didn’t chop gently, either. Let’s just say, if there was a Veggie Rights Watch, they’d be after me for excessive brutality.
Anyway…the peppers died for a good cause. Life is alright again.

Personally, I got 16 I’m absolutely sure about, and 2 more I might have recognised…maybe. (I think that’s shameful, but there you go.)
Anyway, I dare you to do better. And even if you don’t, the animation is nice :)

Sooo viel Neues tut sich bei mir nicht, in letzter Zeit, aber mein Blog muss ja trotzdem nicht verhungern. Also hier meine wichtigsten Neuigkeiten und Ergüsse:
1. Meine Kästen kommen voraussichtlich am 07.Oktober. Ich kann’s kaum erwarten…damit ist die Wohnung dann nämlich Möbel-technisch fertig. Dann muss nur noch mein Zeug nachkommen (leere Billy-Regale sind trist) und Zeugwerk an die Wände, dann bin ich (vielleicht, eventuell, unter Umständen) angekommen. :)
2. Meinen geliebten, genialen, frisch-gereinigten Teppich hab‘ ich heute auch abgeholt. Das gute Stück ist ein Geschenk von meiner Oma und generell wunderbar und supertoll, und hat gerade unnötigerweise ein Monat beim Teppich-Reinigungs-Menschen verbracht, weil der es nicht geschafft hat mich anzurufen nachdem er mit dem Putzen fertig war. Jedenfalls ist der Teppich jetzt endlich da. Und ich hab ihn lieb.
3. It’s Fall Season!!! Das Fernsehen geht offiziell wieder los ^.~ Einige Serien zum Wieder-Liebhaben (Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS LA, Castle, … ja ich mag Krimis, falls das vorher noch nicht absolut klar war) und einige neue Serien zum Reinschnuppern (Nikita – meh, Outlaw – hmm, Hawaii Five-0 – meh, Chase – meh, Running Wilde – nuh, The Event, Undercovers, The Defenders, Terriers, The Whole Truth, No Ordinary Family, Body of Proof, Blue Bloods … ja, echt. und nein, ich hab‘ kein Leben.)
Ja…also das dazu ^^ Ansonsten wäre nur noch anzumerken, dass ich mich bei einem Besuch der südlichen Provinzen mit Dauer-Lust auf Tomatensuppe angesteckt habe. Schuld ist klein-C. Sie ist ein Tomatensuppen-Superbösewicht in Miniaturausgabe. Ihre Macht ist fürchterlich!!!
Thursday’s Theme
Because season 6 opened yesterday with the conclusion of the cliffhanger inofficially titled „Extra-creepy Tim Curry does extra-creepy things while being extra-extra-creepy“ (or maybe that’s just me ^^).
The theme is creepy, too. The good kind, not the hide-behind-the-sofa-and-pray-for-help kind.
[This show has Penelope Garcia, who rules. And they use beloved family entertainment actors like Frankie Muniz to play serial killers, just to make it more disturbing.]

One second into the opening theme and everyone knows where the show is set. Five seconds in you know what kind of show you’re about to watch. You have to admire that in a theme tune.
[Incidentally, I also like the show. The first season ended on Monday, that means I only have a single ep to watch until the looooooong hiatus. I hate the hiatus already.]

Not only is the old theme a true classic, a remade version of the show – and a remade version of the theme – are about to hit TV screens in the US (and computer screens everywhere else *cough*). So…you choose…the classic, or the Bruckheimer-ized remake?

Favourite Moments in Movies
As previously threatened…here are 75 of my favourite movie-moments, in no particular order, in a list that was definitive and final 5 minutes ago and has therefore been out of date for at least 4 minutes already.
Note, that a) I included only films I’ve seen in full – so there will be glaring omissions, and b) I tried to stick to one scene per movie/per franchise, and I almost succeeded…almost. I could, of course, elaborate on the whys and wherefores of the selection, but there’s no point if you haven’t seen the films, and if you have seen them, you can feel free to argue with me ^^
Also, I tried really, really, REALLY hard to avoid spoilers, and I think I managed…up to a point, but frankly, if you consider things like „The ship sinks in the end“ spoilers, then yes, there will be spoilers. Consider yourselves warned.
