Und während wir also die Modenschau zu Gemüte führen, taucht bei mir unweigerlich die Frage auf, wie diese Nippel-Quasten (was auch immer der Fachausdruck sein mag) eigentlich halten. Es ist mir ein Rätsel…ich werde dem auf den Grund gehen müssen, sonst lässt es mir keine Ruhe.
Von den Quasten landet das Gespräch (logischerweise?) bei Sex-shops.

Ich: In Wien auf der Mariahilferstraße gibt’s einen Shop, der heisst „Spartacus – World of Sex“. Und ich bin schon sooo oft davor gestanden und hab’ mich gefragt was an Spartacus sexy sein soll.
(im Ernst…die Massenhinrichtungen? die Kreuze? der langsame, qualvolle Tod??)

Ich mag Kaffee. Kaffee macht mich glücklich.

Aber aus irgendeinem Grund (der vermutlich bedeutet, dass ich mich wegen Hochverrats von der österreichischen Staatsbürgerschaft trennen muss) macht mich Kaffee im Becher noch ein bisschen glücklicher als Kaffee in der Tasse.

Das würde Sinn ergeben, wenn ich in  jedem Coffeeshop den Triple-Skinny-Caramel-Soy-Mocchachino bestellen würde. (Dann wäre ich glücklich, weil sich jemand anders damit plagen muss, und nicht ich, hehe.)

Aber das mach’ ich nicht. Ich bin geradezu peinlich unkreativ in meiner Suchtbefriedigung.

Woher also dieses extra Glücksgefühl?
Und wenn mein Glück so groß ist, wieso sind dann die Profite von Starbucks im letzten Quartal zurückgegangen?

Love and other disasters (that was over a week ago…I’m already suffering from cold sweats and tremors)

Falling Man (Don DeLillo) and Winkie (Clifford Chase) … and there is a bookmark somewhere around the middle of American Gods (Neil Gaiman), but that doesn’t count, since I haven’t touched it in over 6 months (shame on me).

3. Favorite board game?

Trivial Pursuit is the only board game where I have a chance of winning. But I also like DKT (= Monopoly) and Settlers of Catan.

4. Favorite magazine?

Um…I don’t really read magazines unless I’m in a doctor’s waiting room. But if I did, I’d probably read The New Yorker – I could pretend that I’m an intellectual (and they have great short stories).

5. Favorite smells?

Coffee, freshly cut grass, wood, orange & cloves, baked apples…

A cat purring, the sounds of a fireplace, a mountain spring, footsteps in fresh snow

Being helpless.

I would say black, but I tried that, and it makes me look like a chubby goth with sunburn. So, it’s highlights for me. (I always wanted to try blue – but I saw it on kalafudra, and it didn’t stay blue for very long.)
